Sinop Fisherman Rollneck

The Turkish word for a rollneck is balıkçı yaka, which means "fisherman's collar", and this one earns the name. It is knitted in ecru merino in a chunky fisherman's rib, dense enough to keep out the wind off the sea at Sinop. The collar is long enough to fold over, and the cuffs and hem have deep ribbing. The body is trim, so it sits cleanly under a coat or with flannel trousers.
